I’m Kenny. I’ve been around the tiling trade since I was 18. In the early years I balanced work with boxing, which was a huge part of my life. In 2011 I stepped away from the sport competitively and put more of my focus into tiling, developing the craft properly and building the standards I work to today.

A few years ago I had to step away from work completely after a cancer diagnosis. It was a difficult time, but it also gave me space to reflect on what matters most is family, health, and doing work you genuinely care about. Coming back to the trade after that experience gave me a different outlook. I don’t take the work for granted, and I take real pride in doing it properly.

These days I specialise in large format tiles, natural stone and detailed floor work. I enjoy the planning side as much as the installation, working out layouts, solving awkward spaces and making sure the finish is right. Over the years I’ve invested in professional equipment to support that standard, including my Rubi and Sigma specialised tile cutters for accurate, clean work.

I’ve also started sharing parts of the process through a YouTube channel, documenting installs, tools and techniques from the perspective of someone who genuinely works in the trade.

Heskan is named after me and my son Shéa. The business represents more than just the work, it’s about building something solid and passing the knowledge on the right way as he learns the trade alongside me.

​

Boxing is still part of my life too. I coach three nights a week at the gym run by my own former boxing coach, the same place where I spent many years training. It’s important to me to give back to that environment and help the next generation learn the same discipline and fundamentals that shaped me.
